About the Legal Office

The Legal Office provides advice to the University and its controlled entities on all legal matters affecting the University.

Some of the services we provide include:

• Legal Advice: providing verbal and written advice to University staff at all levels within the University (although we do not provide personal legal advice).
• Agreements: drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents such as funding agreements, leases, access agreements, services and consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), among others,
• Dealing with subpoenas and assisting with right to information and privacy queries, and
• Managing litigation involving the University.
